ハンドメイド記録♡はじめて縫い物は１歳の娘にぴったりのスタイ
苦手だと思っていたお裁縫。もともとアイロンやボタン付けにも苦労するタイプで，カジュアルな洋服を好んで着ていました。
I had no doubt in my mind that I was not good at sewing. I am always struggling to attach a button or run an iron.
そんな私ですが，幼馴染が出産のお祝いに素敵なハンドメイド服を贈ってくれたのをきっかけに，「いつか我が子の洋服を作ってみたい」と思うようになりました。
However, I really feel like sewing clothes for my daughter after my childhood friend gave me some great handmade baby clothes.
そんな中，年末に次の命に恵まれ就職が先延ばしになりました。「お家で過ごすなら，何か新しいことに挑戦したい」と思い，「縫い物を始める」を2022年の目標にしました。
In those times I found out that I got pregnant with my second child at the end of the previous year and I put off starting my new job. “While I am a homemaker, I want to try something new”. I decided to start sewing as a new year’s resolution for 2022.
食べこぼしが多くよだれダラダラの１歳の娘。最初に作るのは「スタイ」にしようと決めました。
My 1 year old daughter often dirties her clothes with foods and her drool, so I made up my mind to sew “Bib” at first.
布地関係の仕事をしている妹の指導のもと早速スタイづくり。型紙をダウンロード（下記参照）して，妹は花びらスタイ，私は星型スタイを作ることにしました。
My sister who works as a cloth-cutter taught me how to make a bib. We downloaded sewing patterns on websites below. She chose the flower shaped bib and I chose the star shaped bib.

アイロンをかけたり，接着心を付けたり，ミシンを使う前に作業がいっぱい。ミシンが終われば，手縫いで返し口を縫ったり，ボタンをつけたり。「お裁縫＝ミシン」というイメージがすっかり変わりました。
There are many things to do before using the sewing machine such as ironing or putting a facing material. There are also many things to do after using the sewing machine like turning the material inside out or attaching buttons. My image “Sewing =Sewing machine” has totally changed.
できあがりは初心者にしては◎だと感じています。そして何より，一生懸命作ったスタイを実際に娘がつけたのを見て嬉しくなりました。
I felt I did a good job as a beginner. Besides I felt so happy to see my daughter with my bib.
今の私はお裁縫が苦手だとは感じでいません。むしろ，もっともっといろんな作品に挑戦したいと思っています。まだまだ縫い物をはじめたばかりですが，娘やお腹の赤ちゃんにとって着心地の良い洋服を作っていきたいです。
I do not think I am not good at sewing now, or rather, I feel I want to sew more and more baby clothes. Although I have just started sewing, but I want to make comfortable clothes for my daughter and baby in the future.
